In This Direction or That Direction

The Eternal Traveller had one of these on her post the other day and I remembered that I had one of them as well and thought I would show it today.

Any Which Way

I saw this when I went to Lorne a couple of weeks ago.  I have seen many photos of these, but have never seen one before.  The image turned out quite funny, but I think I like more because it did.  I can’t see Melbourne on it, so not sure if we exist.

The sign seemed an appropriate sign, haha, for how I have been feeling a lot lately, not really knowing which direction to go in, though I think I have sorted it out more now and am quite happy with my decisions.  Time will tell if I made a good choice.  Though it might mean me teaching on this blog might not really happen.  As I said, we will see.

Heading In

This is another one of the images from the rocks at Lorne.  I have processed this very differently to the others I did.  Does it work, in some ways yes, others no.  I don’t mind it and maybe there is something there, and maybe it is a start for some experimentation.

Going Some Place

This is the entrance to the train station at Winchelsea, and is still operational.  I don’t know how often the train comes through here, but they do still come.  You enter the platform there on the right.  It is a lovely old building and seem very appropriate for the train.

I loved the trip to Lorne and I really wish I had been there earlier in the morning.  I still really want to go back.  I am planning a trip away at the end of April, but unfortunately not near Lorne.  Looks like I am going to have to do the 3am wake up and do the two hour drive if I really want to get the image.  Mmm, I wonder if I went mid week how much a room would cost.  I might have to look into that.  Thanks.

  5. As soon as I saw the first image, which is great, I thoughtit might have greater significance for you… I read a post recently which included the sage statement “in challenge is the word change”… I guess it means changes are a challenge of if you find something challenging, make a change 🙂

  10. Leanne, you are an amazing blogger. I really think you should start assembling some of your like posts together and consider printing a picture – story book. We have a lot of those here that are of history of a an area, city, town. Your stories are well -written, and your pictures are awesome. You underestimate the value of what you are creating, and are able to create. I’m not sure everyone wants only to learn the techniques of what you do, though that is wonderful, but to also learn the wonderful things that you have learned along the way. Do you know Leslie Carter? She’s the BucketList blogger. She helps people achieve their dreams. You should write to her, maybe. 🙂 Marsha 🙂

    • Thank you Marsha, that is lovely to say. It is not something I had even thought of, or considered. Perhaps it is something I can. I have thought about putting a book together of my images, but not to have the actual posts.
I have heard of Leslie Carter and her blog, I believe I follow her. I might try it, though I would have to be certain what I was asking for. You are such a wonderful person Marsha. It means a lot to know that there are people out there like you that want to help make me succeed. It has been a aspect of blogging that I never thought would happen. Thank you so much. 🙂 🙂

  13. Spectacular photos … I especially like the one with the directions for some reason. And, if I am not mistaken, this is the same Chateau theme that I use on my blog. Simple and classic.

  14. I love the first pic, with the arrows in different directions. It’s funny, simple and tell so much.

  15. Like Marsha said, up above, I’m one of your followers who doesn’t need the software lessons but I do very much like to read your musings. They fascinate me and expand my mind. I’ll chip in a bit for your hotel room. Maybe others can too and cover it so you can get Lorne in the morning without driving while sleepy.
