Monochrome Madness Week 8
Can you believe it is Week 8 already, wonder how it will be when it gets to week 52, which of course will mean we have been doing this for a year. The response is a little down from last week, but I expect that has a lot to with Easter. We still had a great response. There are lots of new people again. I have also worked out how to do this better, well better for me and it feels like it has been no work at all this week, that is great for me. Now, I know I usually send everyone who emails me an email, just to confirm that I got their email, unfortunately, being away at mum’s, many of you didn’t get hem, so please excuse me this time. I did get them, well I hope I did and they have all been included. Remember, if you want to enter an image, the instructions will be at the end of the post.
As I said I went up to my mum’s place for Easter, and on Monday my friend Ted took me for a drive to the Pink Lakes. I was so excited about going, as we had planned on going there in January, but we couldn’t get in because of all the fires that were up there at that time. I have to say, it was pretty amazing. We took some photos, but really the plan is to go back and plan what we will do more before we go, especially now that we know what is there. It would be good to do some classes or rather me teach some classes up there as well.
Anyway back to my image, sorry, I got carried away. The image above was taken up in the National Park where the Pink Lakes are. There are old industrial bits and pieces left over from when they used to mine the salt. This old car was just left on top of a hill. The sun was setting behind it, and the colour image is nice as well, but I like the monochrome version as well. I have done some stuff to it, but the colour of the sepia tone, I picked from the rust that was on the original image.
Laura Macky has done her image as well.
For more information about Laura’s image then head over to her blog post, Laura the Lionhearted.
While we haven’t had as many images as last week, decisions have had to be made and the decision that Laura and I have come up with is that I will put up the first 40 or so images here and then she will put the rest up on her blog. I have extra allowance for space on my blog because I pay for the extra space, so I am able to cope with it. We will see how it goes. I hope you are happy with that. You will still email the images to me, and I will forward them to Laura. It will be first serve etc. The first lot on mine and then hers. If that makes sense.
One more thing, if you comment on an image, I will approve, but I won’t respond. I assume if you comment on the image then the comment is meant for the owner of that image.
