Point Lonsdale Pier in Different Lights

It is interesting how you can process one image in two different ways and give it two completely different looks.

I took the following image of Point Lonsdale Pier at sunrise last year. It wasn’t an especially inspiring one, but it was very early.

  4. Both are really beautiful – but my eye – as a black and white junkie – is drawn to the image in black and white. Black and white creates a certain look and feel that has a bit more depth – intensity to my eye.

  5. Nice shot, i prefer the coloured one too but the b&w one transmit different sensations, it’s a bit more dramatic

  6. Color looks great, though it is quite typical for this genre. BW makes it more abstract, emphasising the play of shadow and light and in fact makes it more interesting
